RCM certification

 RCM certification

The RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark) is a registered Mark by the supplier stating that the product complies with the safety and other requirements of the electrical safety laws/regulations of the Australian states and New Zealand, as well as the EMC requirements of the Australian and New Zealand Radiocommunications Acts. The RCM mark can only be used if the product complies with both the Electrical Safety Code and the EMC Code.
RCM is considered to be the appropriate marker, which will change the existing or existing three markers of C-TICK, A-TICK, and RCM. Starting from September 1, 2013 (now postponed to March 1, 2014), RCM will be the only unified marker to show that products comply with the specified requirements of ACMA and ERAC.
RCM certification must include:
Safety (product Safety certification), namely SAA certification
EMC test (electromagnetic compatibility), i.e. C-Tick report
RCM mark:
The RCM mark is owned by the Federal Government, and both the Electrical Safety Statutory Authority and the EMC Statutory Authority accept the RCM mark as a supplier's declaration of conformity. As long as the supplier is approved to use the RCM mark in any state, it can be accepted by the statutory regulatory authorities in other states, thus achieving one approval in all states.
Who will apply for RCM certification?
RCM certification can only be applied for by a local Australian company, which must apply for an RCM number from the Australian government. Chinese producers and exporters can apply for IEC or AS/NZS report in their own name, but this report must be submitted to the Australian importer to apply for RCM.
RCM certification application process:
1. Stone Testing Laboratory evaluates the products and determines the test standards to be implemented;
2. If there is any non-conformance in the test, the laboratory will rectify the product to meet and meet the requirements of Australian standards;
3. Pass the test and issue the test report;
4. Submit the test report to the Australian license issuing body for document review;
5. Australia passed the examination and issued the Safety Certificate (SAA Certificate);
6. Customers can go to the relevant website for registration application, or hand over to Stone Testing Laboratory to complete the Australian website registration work.
RCM Certification Period:
After obtaining the Safety Certificate (SAA) and C-Tick/EMC report, complete the registration process in about one to two weeks, together with the information of the local valid responsible provider, and obtain the unique identification number starting with N. Then I will upload each report for a week or so.
